After the reset I feel like my whole attitude towards exercise and well being has changed. I used to dread going to the gym, it felt like a really lonely, isolating experience. Coming to classes at efl is the exact opposite, I have made friends, and week in week out I watch my peers progress and benefit from their encouragement.
My best results during the reset was definitely in the movement aspect, the other 2 aspects being nutrition and lifestyle. Over the course of the month I went from 0 hours exercise per week to anywhere up to 8. I started slowly though (in the first week I did 3 ) and was careful to listen to my body. I always thought people were lying when they said exercise was addictive!
There have been many benefits to doing the reset. I feel more confident already, mostly I guess because I feel in control of my physical health again, which was in decline due to inactivity. It can take a leap of faith to get started in such endeavours, but the benefits are more than worth it. My mental health is vastly improved, I can honestly say I have never felt better. I attribute this to the regular exercise, good nutrition and abstinence from alcohol and caffeine. I urge anyone in a rut to give it a go, I have so much energy now I literally find myself springing out of bed to go to one of the classes on offer.
In conclusion, if like me you have been inactive for a long period and feel overwhelmed at the thought of changing your habits, the reset could be just the thing. The holistic approach that includes nutrition, lifestyle, and movement gives you the tools to make those changes, just bring the willingness and positivity.”
