Join Charlie for this immersive workshop, offering you a sequence integrating arm balances, and handstand practice. Expect to build your experience and confidence in these poses, with fun and encouragement.
In this session, we will warm through the body, with a specially designed sequence to access the fullness of your strength and flexibility, focusing on the areas you’ll need to access arm balances and handstands. From there, we’ll be exploring arm balances and some inversions with different methods and options so that you build your confidence and feel encouraged, whatever your previous experience. Yoga is after all, always about little shifts and exploration.
You can expect the session to look like this:
Tuning into the body: warming through the back muscles and spine, whilst providing some space in the hips, as foundations for the arm balances.
Arm balance play: woven through this practice, we’ll encounter different arm balance postures, linking together into a sequence to help you develop from one to the next, with plenty of options.
Turning your perspective upside down: from head stand possibilities (optional, with specific stages) to cultivating your handstand practice. This will be a great way to experiment, safely, with the shared energy in the studio. Everyone will be encouraged and supported from where they are in their practice.
Deep savasana: to relax and provide space for all your practice to be integrated into your body. Leaving feeling refreshed, and inspired for your future practices.
